Blogging 101 Day One – Introduce Yourself to the World

Vintage-Flower-background-about_me

I am a newbie in the blogging world. I really enjoy writing and sharing posts, but I know I have a looong way to go and tons of things to learn, that’s why I’ve decided to take the three week class “Blogging 101” from Blogging U! As a part of the first assignment I will introduce myself and share who I am and why am I here.

For the ones who don’t know me yet, my name is Mónica and I am a peruvian artist, designer and food enthusiast. I studied art, fashion design and a little bit of graphic design. I love cooking, sewing and creating beautiful things. I really like reading and writing, and I am always trying to find time for all of that.

I decided to start this blog a little over a year ago. Even though I have actually never been very constant with my posts, I have enjoy writing and sharing every single one of them. For me, blogging is a perfect creative outlet and it has allowed me to really put some thought and time into the things I love doing. I decided to blog publicly because I wanted to be part of a community interested in sharing things they enjoy, and that could also be interested in what I had to say.

As the name says, “The Perfect Fit Project” is a blog about homemade happiness. Mostly, I am interested in writing about things I do when I’m at home, like cooking or sewing. But with time I have realized that I actually want to write and share all of those things made with the heart, for the people we love, like a nice recipe, a fun trip or any other thing that can bring a little bit of joy into our life. I didn’t have a specific audience in mind when I started blogging, and until now I don’t think I do. So, everyone who wants to join me in this journey will be welcomed.

One thing that I hope to achieve by blogging is to stay creative and take the time to pursuit what now are my hobbies, but that might in the future be something more. I want to keep cooking, I want to sew more clothes, I want to work on some art and design stuff, I want to keep learning and I want to do and share all of that with a touch of love and a spoonful of happiness.

So for now, welcome and happy blogging!!
