For today’s assignment the idea was to get inspired by the blogs I posted about yesterday and write a new post about it. I actually would like to mention not one, but two blogs from yesterday. Both of them are about healthy eating, and I find that very inspiring because it is something I would like to incorporate to my cooking. I also feel I can learn a lot from these two bloggers, not only from their recipes, but also because they took the time to write very thorough answers to the questions I asked them. I would like to share them with you and see what you think.
The first blog I am referring to is One Happy Table – Vegan food for the family. I arrived to the blog because one recipe called my attention. It was a pasta recipe with a cauliflower and sweet potato cream sauce. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of recipes that involve cauliflower as a replacement for other ingredient and I am decided to try one of these recipes soon. The questions that I asked Lauren, the owner of this blog, were if she had a favourite post or recipe (she has been blogging for a couple of years now), and what was her best advice for new bloggers. I really enjoyed reading her response, and I have to say that she shared with me a recipe that I am definitely going to try! This is what she said:

My best advice for new bloggers is to tell stories that allow readers to get to know you through your posts. Anyone can post a recipe for instance, but what does the recipe mean to you? Also, take photos in natural light. And finally, don’t be too hard on yourself. Fewer, quality posts is better than frequent posts with little impact.

The second blog I will mention is Mi taller de Bienestar. I like to learn about the benefits of different food and that’s how I got there. Lauri, the owner of the blog, had shared a beet smoothie recipe (“Me encantan las remolachas”) and listed 7 different benefits of this super easy to make and extra healthy recipe. I had to ask her if she had a favourite ingredient or super food, and if so, which one was it and why. The answer is in spanish but I still want to share her own words:

I really want to take the time to learn from these bloggers and tried out their recipes as a way to cook healthier food. i found their blogs, pictures and writing very inspiring, hope you find them inspiring too.
